Pregnancy Options

If you are pregnant, you get to decide what is right for you. You can ask friends, family, teachers, nurses for support and information, but it's your body and your choice.

Finding out that you are pregnant can make you feel a whole range of emotions, and you may not be sure yet what to do. That’s okay, you’re not alone.

Here are your 3 options, in alphabetical order:

  • Abortion – means that you would see a doctor to terminate the pregnancy.
  • Adoption – means that you would carry the pregnancy to term, give birth,  and then register the child for adoption
  • Parenting – means you would carry the pregnancy to term and then raise the child

We recommend you contact the pregnancy options support person at SHORE Centre who can answer any questions and connect you with whatever services you need.

The most important thing is that you make a decision that is right for you. You do not owe anyone explanations or justifications - trust yourself to make the best decision for you. Your body, your choice.
